Get Involved — Volunteer!
Did you know that the Ingomar PTO and all of the PTO events and activities are organized and run entirely by parent volunteers?
The PTO offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the school year to fit your availability, since we recognize that parents have many important demands on their time. For example, we have many volunteer opportunities that are outside school hours (such as Bingo Night & Muffins with Mom) and/or are one-time commitments, some for a little as 30 minutes (Field Day, Bingo Night, Donuts with Dad, and the Cookie Walk, for example).
Volunteering is a great way to see your children in action and to meet other parents!
Please consider signing up for at least one volunteer opportunity. Here are some options:
- Help at events as a one-time commitment (examples: Field Day, Bingo Night, Donuts with Dad). Sign up at Volunteer Opportunities or take a look at Weekly Updates.
- Share your talents and interests with students. If you would like us to match your interests with our volunteer opportunities, please complete the Volunteer Interests form (coming soon).
As the school year begins, there may be some additional opportunities to help in the classroom. Your homeroom parent or teacher will email requests to assist with different activities.
Many, but not all, volunteer positions at the North Allegheny (NA) schools require you to have security clearances. See the Volunteer Clearance FAQs for more information and links to apply online for the clearances.
Note: We try to indicate in the volunteer descriptions whether clearances are needed or not.
Thank you for your helping hand!
