Dear IES Families,

Welcome to the start of an exciting new school year! As your Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) Presidents, we are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you. We hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable summer and are as enthusiastic as we are about the opportunities and experiences this school year will bring.

Our PTO is dedicated to fostering a strong partnership between our school and our families. We believe that by working together, we can create a supportive and enriching environment for our children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This year, we have a fantastic lineup of events, programs, and initiatives planned, and we can’t wait to share them with you.

Here are a few highlights of what you can expect this year:

1. Engaging Events: From our annual Ice Cream Social (September 4th) to Holiday Shoppe, Book Fair, Breakfast Bash, Bingo Night, after school programs, and assemblies, we have a variety of events designed to bring our community together. These events are a great way to meet other families, build friendships, and create lasting memories.

2. Volunteer Opportunities: We encourage all parents to get involved in whatever capacity suits their schedule and interests. Whether you can spare a few hours for a single event or commit to a regular role, your participation is invaluable and greatly appreciated. To be eligible to volunteer, you must have your PTO activity fee paid and have active clearances on file with Mrs Yatcko.

3. PTO Meetings: We meet on the first Friday of every month at 9:30 AM in the IES Paw Room, located next to the library. These meetings are a fantastic way to stay informed about what's happening at your student's school and receive updates directly from Dr. M. Everyone is welcome to attend, and we especially love having extra helpers in the meeting—so don't hesitate to bring your little ones along!

Our first meeting of the year will be on September 6th at 9:30 AM. 

It takes a village to create a memorable and exciting school year for IES students! Your PTO board consists of dedicated parents who juggle working jobs and the important task of raising children, all while volunteering their time to create special moments for our students. Contrary to popular belief on social media, we are all friendly and would love for you to join us at meetings or volunteer for an event.
