MONDAYS

 

Program: STEM - Jet Toy Powered Cars
Grades: 3rd - 5th
Dates: 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28

Description: Students will design and build their very own balloon-powered cars. This hands-on workshop explores core concepts like forces, Newton’s laws of motion, and engineering design. Through creative experimentation and problem-solving, students will bring their jet-powered cars to life while gaining a deeper understanding of the principles that make them zoom. Join us for a fun and educational ride into the world of STEM!

Grades: 2nd - 5th
Dates: 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28
Time: 3:30 - 4:30

Description: Join Mrs. Smokovich and your friends for an hour of puzzle-solving fun! Choose from a variety of puzzle sizes and themes, with new challenges introduced each week or the option to continue working on a puzzle you’ve started. It’s a great way to relax, test your skills, and enjoy quality time together.

 

 

Program: SPORTS - Game Time
Grades: 1st - 2nd
Dates: 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/11, 11/18

Description: A dynamic program where students dive into a variety of engaging PE activities. Over the course of five weeks, they'll play classic games, try out new sports, and develop their fitness skills in a fun, energetic environment. Join Mr. Boronyak for a chance to stay active, make friends, and enjoy the best of physical education!

Description: Students will explore and enhance their hand-stitching skills while crafting their own personalized pillow designs. They'll have the chance to learn various stitching techniques and bring their creative visions to life, resulting in a unique and beautifully crafted pillow that showcases their individual style.

Description: An energetic program where students of all levels can lace up their sneakers and hit the track. Participants will build endurance, improve their fitness, and have fun through group runs, relay races, and team challenges. Description: Join our Flag Football & Home Run Derby program for an action-packed mix of sports fun! Students will sharpen their flag football skills through dynamic drills and friendly games, while also taking a swing at the Home Run Derby, where they’ll test their batting prowess. It’s a perfect blend of teamwork, competition, and skill-building that promises an energetic and exciting time. Get ready to tackle, run, and hit your way to an unforgettable experience!

Program: COOKING - With Bakers Dozen
Grades: K - 5th

Description: Join the fun where young "chefs" will whip up a variety of spooky and delicious nut-free treats! Students will create chocolate-covered apples with an array of toppings, craft eerie spider Oreo pies, decorate festive fondant Halloween cupcakes, and bake ghoulish ghosts and graveyard cakes. It's a delightful and safe way for kids to enjoy some Halloween-themed culinary creativity!

 

 

Program: TAYLOR SWIFT - Crafting through the ERAs
Grades: 2nd - 5th
Dates: 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30
Time: 3:30 - 4:30

Description: Join us for six exciting sessions of Taylor Swift-inspired fun, complete with music! We will channel our creativity as we craft customized tote bags or zipper pouches, design an ERAs poster, and make friendship bracelets to trade. Our final session will feature a concert viewing party where we celebrate our creations and enjoy Taylor Swift’s music together!

 

 

Program: ART - Hangin' at Hogwarts Club
Grades: 2nd - 5th

Description: Join us at Hogwarts: IES Campus for an enchanting adventure! Students will craft their own wands, experiment with magical slime potions, and sculpt miniatures of fantastic beasts or even the elusive Golden Snitch. It’s a magical opportunity to unleash your creativity and dive into a world of wonder. Can’t wait to make some magic together!

Description: Students will enhance their clay-building skills while crafting a holiday-themed decoration of their choice. They'll explore various techniques, shape their unique designs, and have their pieces glazed for a polished finish. All completed decorations will be ready to go home after our last class date and before Thanksgiving break, adding a festive touch to the holiday season.

Description: Students will delve into the fascinating world of physics by experimenting with cars and ramps. They'll test variables and observe the effects on movement, exploring core concepts like potential and kinetic energy, mass, gravity, velocity, and momentum. Through hands-on activities and exciting experiments, students will gain a deeper understanding of these fundamental principles while having fun rolling their way through science!

 

 

Program: TECH - 3D Printing & Design
Grades: 3rd - 5th

Description: Dive into the world of 3D design! Using Tinkercad, students will craft original designs like personalized keychains, playful game pieces, and more. Returning students will face new, exciting challenges to further hone their skills. Watch as their creations come to life with a 3D printer and take home their unique plastic models. Don’t forget to bring a charged iPad or charger to each session. Let’s turn your imagination into reality!

Description: An exciting three-week program where students hit the pavement and pedal their way to fun and fitness. Each session focuses on biking skills, safety, and teamwork, making it perfect for all skill levels.
